Free-to-Lay: Elon Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Gains Sixth Bid to Regionals

The Elon University, N.C., Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team, Free-to-Lay, gained the sixth bid in the Carolina Sectionals Saturday and Sunday to advance to the regional tournament.

The six teams that participated in Elon’s bracket were Appalachian State, Davidson College, North Carolina State University, University of North Carolina Greensboro and University of North Carolina Wilmington.  The other four teams participating in the Carolina Sectionals were Duke University, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (A and B teams) and Wake Forest University.

The team is seeded second in their bracket, fourth overall in the Carolina Section, fifth in the region and 25th  in the United States in the Ultimate Players Association.

The regional tournament will take place April 25-26 in Charlotte, N.C.
